If Lux Could Kill
Originally, this was a photography website. Now it’s other things, too. I’m Rocket, a photographer and sound mixer in Shreveport, Louisiana, who’s lived and worked all over. I totally exist in some capacity, and have for some time, as a poet, a photographer, an artist and engineer finding ways to do the most with the least.

i’ve wanted to rebuild this site a long time and let my voice through, and now i have a set of tools that’ll hopefully let me do that. we’re gonna see. this site is written in markdown with obsidian (a text editor and file manager) and kiln (a static site generator). if you like how this looks and works, go get ‘em, they’re free.

outside of a class i’d taken recently, since fall of 2023 i shoot with only a nikon D700 with a nikkor af 50mm/1.8 lens. or, with an instax mini one of my best friends got me as a birthday gift:
her first crime, like her mother’s before her, was to make herself happy. 2026.
i’m not so limited. the camera may only shoot stills but i don’t have to only shoot stills.
